My Story

Before moving to the USA in 2018, I practiced in the UK for nearly 20 years as a gastroenterologist – a specialist physician in treating problems with the stomach and intestines.

After qualifying in medicine in 1997 from the University of Cambridge in England, I began my medical career in and around London. I also undertook a period of scientific laboratory research at University College London (UCL), obtaining my PhD in 2008.

After a year as a Fellow, looking after patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at the University of Toronto, I returned to the UK to take up a senior medical post at Kingston Hospital in South West London. After some years there, I left to focus on my busy private medical practice, also based in London.

I married in 2018 and relocated to New York City. Although I considered continuing my career as a gastroenterologist, I found myself drawn to taking additional training as an Integrative Health Coach. In 2019 I qualified from Duke Integrative Medicine.

My professional qualifications

My undergraduate degree (MA) was in Medical Sciences at Trinity College, Cambridge. My medical degrees (MB BChir) were also at Trinity College. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in London. My PhD is from University College London (UCL).

It’s a fact. Health coaching works

Research has shown that working with a health coach can reduce the risk or impact of serious health problems and improve your overall physical and mental health. You’re also more likely to stay motivated and get sustainable results by working alongside a supportive professional.

“I’ll work with you to identify your goals and then help you make small changes, step-by-step, to achieve them. In time they should become a natural part of who you are and what you do.”
